Job summary

Anduril Industries in the United States is seeking a Staff Manufacturing Engineer to lead manufacturing process development for our intelligence systems, including DFMA, tooling, and production line design.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, work with contract manufacturers, travel to suppliers, and ensure quality through documentation and process improvements; an active U.S. Secret security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a manufacturing/engineering field and 12+ years of experience in manufacturing process development.
• Experience creating clear work instructions and manufacturing process documentation.
• Knowledge of DFMA principles and lean manufacturing methods.
• Active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own manufacturing of intelligence systems across all steps.
• Provide design for manufacturability and assembly feedback.
• Develop tooling solutions for fabrication and assembly.
• Build production lines by breaking large assemblies into sub-assemblies and processes.
• Disposition non-conformances of hardware.
• Create work instructions, quality plans, and inspection requirements.
• Iterate on assembly processes leveraging lessons learned.
• Collaborate with contract manufacturers for scalable production.
• Work hands-on with technicians on prototype hardware.
• Contribute to mechanical or electrical design including interconnects and board fabrication.
• Travel to suppliers for sourcing and quality improvements.
