Job summary
Anduril Industries is hiring a Senior Manufacturing Process Development Engineer to design and optimize manual assembly processes for high-volume defense products. You will create clear work instructions, develop dispensing processes, and provide lineside production support to maintain flow.
The role requires 8+ years in manufacturing process development, CAD and MES experience, and an active U.S. Secret clearance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in manufacturing process development in high-reliability industries.
- Experience creating detailed work instructions and process documentation.
- Experience optimizing manual assembly operations and establishing standardized work.
- Lean manufacturing expertise and strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience with dispensing technologies for adhesives/sealants and related materials.
- Proficiency with CAD software for assembly documentation and tooling design.
- Experience with MES and digital work instructions.
- Active U.S. Secret security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Design and optimize manual assembly processes for high-volume production.
- Develop comprehensive manufacturing work instructions with clear visual aids.
- Engineer dispensing operations for adhesives, sealants, and thermals.
- Provide on-the-floor support and address deviations to maintain flow.
- Drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions to improve processes.
- Collaborate with design, quality, and production to ensure manufacturability.
- Evaluate process improvements to reduce cycle time and defects.
- Develop process parameters with defined control limits.
- Support new product introductions from prototype to production.
- Participate in design reviews to provide manufacturing feedback.
- Apply AS9100 standards to drive development and issue resolution.
