Job summary

Anduril Industries in Costa Mesa, CA seeks a Staff Manufacturing Engineer, Mechanical Actuation Systems to lead end-to-end manufacturing development of high‑performance actuators for sea and air vehicle platforms.

You will own DFM, MBOM and tooling, design and validate testing, mentor engineers and technicians, and partner with Design Engineering to deliver robust, scalable production in a fast‑paced defense environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering.
• 12+ years of manufacturing or design engineering experience with precision electromechanical hardware.
• Proven leadership and mentoring experience.
• Experience delivering actuators or robotics in fast-paced environments.
• Deep expertise in MBOM, MES integration, and RCCA.
• US Person due to access requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end manufacturing development of precision actuators for sea and air vehicle platforms.
• Drive DFM, DFA feedback and MBOM/Routings integration with Design Engineering.
• Oversee tooling, jigs, fixtures, and testing for actuator assemblies.
• Define robust manufacturing processes and documentation for high reliability.
• Mentor engineers and technicians during prototype builds and production validation.
