Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks a Staff Manufacturing Engineer, Mechanical Actuation Systems, to drive end-to-end manufacturing of high-performance actuators for sea and air vehicles. You will guide DFMA feedback, design tooling and fixture systems, and own MBOM and process documentation for reliable, scalable production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related technical field.
• 12+ years in manufacturing/design engineering with precision mechanical components or motion control.
• Proven track record driving technical initiatives and mentoring engineers.
• Experience delivering complex electromechanical hardware (actuators, robotics) in fast-paced environments.
• Expertise establishing/managing MBOM, MES integration, and RCCA for actuator production.
• Hands-on hardware manufacturing: machining, additive, assembly, testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead NPI transitions for precision actuators from prototype to production.
• Provide DFMA/DFMA feedback to Design Engineering for actuators and integrated systems.
• Design and implement tooling, jigs, fixtures for precision assembly and testing.
• Define robust manufacturing flows for complex actuator assemblies and benchmarking.
• Develop MBOM/Routings in MES/ERP for actuator sub-assemblies and final builds.
• Create and maintain detailed manufacturing docs, QA plans, inspection requirements, test procedures.
• Mentor engineers and technicians during prototype builds and production validation.
