Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Staff Manufacturing Engineer to be located in West Chester, PA; Raritan, NJ or Zuchwil, Switzerland. The role focuses on developing world-class manufacturing and assembly operations, ensuring product quality and cost targets through cross-functional teamwork.

You will collaborate with R&D, Quality and external manufacturers to design manufacturable products, lead prototype development, and provide process validation support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related, required.
• Minimum of 6 years in a maintenance manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated experience in Project Management preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Experience working in medical device or pharmaceutical industries preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with R&D, Quality engineers and External Manufacturers to develop new product designs within a cross-functional team.
• Develop innovative Manufacturing solutions for soft tissue and shoulder reconstruction implantable devices.
• Establish the relationship between product design features and the chosen manufacturing methods.
• Provide detailed assessments and Design for Manufacturing reviews of components and assemblies.
• Manage the manufacturing of prototypes for new product development and cost estimates.
