Job summary

Johnson & Johnson in Cincinnati, Ohio, is recruiting a Staff Equipment Development Engineer to advance assembly equipment for handheld medical devices. You will partner with NPD teams, equipment suppliers and manufacturing plants to deliver scalable production solutions from concept to stable production, enabling faster times to market.

The role emphasizes hands-on development, debug, FAT and qualification activities, plus GR&R and software validation.

Qualifications

• Minimum a Bachelor’s or equivalent University Degree in Engineering.
• 7+ years in dynamic R&D with production line focus.
• Proven ability to debug, characterize and qualify equipment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with NPD, equipment suppliers and plants to bring production solutions from concept to stable production.
• Create assembly equipment requirements and provide DFA recommendations.
• Own the development, debug, and qualification of assembly stations with FAT and defined testing.
• Investigate and enable new manufacturing technologies and automation to drive innovation and speed time to market.
• Encourage technical mastery, collaboration, cross-training, critical thinking and problem solving.
• Ensure projects comply with GMP, ISO, MDD and other regulatory requirements.
