Job summary

Relativity Space is seeking a senior manufacturer to provide design for manufacturing feedback during Terran R development, from prototype to flight builds. You will work with design, manufacturing, reliability, and production teams to drive progress and deliver parts on schedule.

The role emphasizes hands-on problem solving, improving assembly operations, and creating standardized work instructions to scale manufacturing as Terran R evolves.

Qualifications

• 8+ years progressive and related experience
• Strong history of supporting complicated assembly builds
• Excellent interpersonal skills interfacing with engineering and manufacturing
• Strong fundamentals in statics, mechanics of materials, process improvement/factory design
• Expert knowledge of drilling, trim ops, manufacturing processes and GD&T

Responsibilities

• Provide Design for Manufacturing feedback to structures teams during development and builds
• Collaborate with engineers in design, manufacturing, reliability and external vendors
• Cover shop floor for primary structure work center assembly
• Champion process improvements across work centers to improve assembly operations
• Create work instructions and best practices across high-fidelity processes
