Job summary

Relativity Space is seeking a highly experienced manufacturing professional to own the shop floor for primary structure assembly centers and drive continuous improvements across production lines for Terran R. You will collaborate with design, manufacturing, reliability, and vendor teams to accelerate builds and standardize high-fidelity processes.

The role emphasizes DFM feedback from development to flight builds.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, aerospace, mechanical, or a related engineering discipline.
• 8+ years of related experience in manufacturing environments.
• Hands-on history supporting complex assembly builds and making risk calls.
• Strong fundamentals in statics, mechanics of materials, process improvement, and factory design.
• Knowledge of drilling, trim ops, tooling, inspection methods, and GD&T.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to work across engineering and manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Own the shop floor for primary structure assembly work centers, clearing barriers and keeping production moving.
• Champion process improvements across work centers using Terran R learnings.
• Partner with design, manufacturing, reliability, and vendors to drive builds forward.
• Write work instructions, specifications, and best practices for high-fidelity processes.
• Provide DFM feedback to structures teams from development through first prototype and flight builds.
