Job summary

CVS Health Specialty is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead and contribute as both a technical lead and individual contributor, building our next-generation platform to deliver use cases into products that help people live healthier lives.

You will design scalable solutions, review code, mentor junior developers, and collaborate with architects, business partners and IT leaders to resolve complex issues and improve system performance in a cloud-native environment.

Qualifications

7+ years in enterprise solution delivery in large-scale distributed software design environments.
5+ years of Java and Spring Boot development experience.
5+ years with enterprise cloud initiatives and cloud computing technologies.
5+ years designing and developing modern microservices and cost‑effective APIs.
3+ years of CI/CD pipeline automation.
3+ years in an Agile-based development environment.

Responsibilities

Design and implement efficient, scalable solutions meeting business requirements and quality standards.
Contribute to solution design and architecture discussions with architects and senior engineers.
Provide input on technical feasibility, performance, and scalability to meet objectives.
Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
Communicate and coordinate with team members to align and share technical insights.
Mentor junior developers and promote knowledge sharing within the team.
