Job summary

CVS Health Specialty is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to act as both Technical Lead and Individual Contributor, helping build a next-generation platform for delivery of use cases into products focused on healthier living.

The role involves creating Proof of Concepts, driving delivery excellence, and partnering with IT leaders to resolve complex issues and improve performance. Strong experience in Java, Spring Boot, cloud initiatives, and AI technologies is required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience delivering enterprise solutions in a large-scale distributed software design environment.
• ~5+ years of Java, Springboot development experience.
• ~5+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise cloud initiatives and solutions with cloud computing technologies.
• ~3+ years of experience working on CI/CD Pipeline automation.
• ~3+ years of experience working in an Agile-based development environment.
• 2+ years of Agentic AI / Generative AI experience.
• Hands-on experience with full stack development when needed (AngularJS, JavaScript, Oracle, NoSQL).

Responsibilities

• Leverage expertise to design and implement efficient and scalable solutions that meet business requirements and quality standards.
• Provide input on technical feasibility, performance optimization, and scalability considerations to ensure that the overall solution meets the desired objectives.
• Participate in code reviews and ensures adherence to coding standards, best practices, and quality guidelines.
• Contribute to the adoption of best practices, new technologies, and tools to enhance productivity, efficiency, and code quality.
• Work with other developers and team members to implement complex features, enhance existing functionality, and ensure the delivery of high-quality code.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers, helping them improve their technical skills and grow professionally.
