Job summary

Talanto is seeking a Staff IT Engineer to lead automation across enterprise IT infrastructure, driving efficiency, security, and scale in a HIPAA‑compliant environment. You will design, build, and maintain mission-critical automation solutions that reduce manual work and improve the employee experience globally.

You will work with IT leadership to enforce automation standards, mentor junior engineers, and tackle complex integrations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in IT Engineering, IT Apps Development, or DevOps with at least 5 years in large-scale automation
• Hands-on with GCP, AWS, and/or Azure; IaC experience (Terraform)
• Proficient in at least one modern language, preferably Python
• Experience with REST/GraphQL APIs and relational databases (SQL preferred)
• Experience designing centralized automation platforms (n8n, SOAR, Ansible, Workato)
• Familiarity with healthcare/regulated environments (SOC 2, HIPAA) and strong cross-stakeholder communication

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable, resilient workflow automation to streamline onboarding, access requests, compliance enforcement, and self-service IT support
• Build robust integrations using APIs and event-driven architectures
• Automate IAM with least-privilege, automated role assignment, and audit logging
• Architect data platforms for IT with secure, high-volume data handling for reporting and audit
• Lead engineering best practices, code reviews, architecture documentation, and mentoring
• Own deployment and lifecycle management of business systems and custom applications, ensuring security and scalability
