Job summary

Talanto in New York City is seeking a Senior IT Systems Engineer to own the architecture, design, and optimization of our core enterprise applications. You will lead the configuration of Atlassian Jira/Confluence, Google Workspace, and Slack, and mentor junior engineers.

You will manage 30+ SaaS tools, drive AI-enabled workflows, automate onboarding/offboarding, perform regular audits, and document systems to ensure security, reliability, and scalable operations across a fast-growing startup.

Qualifications

• Experience: minimum 5 years of professional IT systems experience in a fast-paced environment supporting a hybrid/distributed workforce.
• Subject Matter Expertise: Administration and architecture of Okta, Jira, Confluence, Google Workspace, and Slack.
• SMP Proficiency: Experience using SaaS Management Platforms to manage a wide catalog of tools.
• AI Fluency: Demonstrated interest or experience in using AI tools to increase velocity.
• Adaptability: Ability to learn fast and understand product details.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary architect and administrator for core enterprise platforms: Jira, Confluence, Google Workspace, Slack.
• Lead technical strategy for SaaS adoption and AI-enabled capabilities across the ecosystem.
• Manage 30+ SaaS platforms, optimize licenses, and ensure system health via SMPs.
• Automate user lifecycle workflows and conduct regular SaaS audits to improve security and efficiency.
• Document applications and processes; mentor junior team members.
