Job summary

TRM Labs is seeking a Staff Infrastructure Engineer to scale a production-grade, multi-region platform. You will own critical infrastructure components that power AI-driven investigations and financial crime tech, building secure sandboxes, fault-tolerant services, and robust data storage.

You will operate in a remote-first US environment, collaborating with ~60+ engineers, and drive platform reliability with SLOs, vault-based secrets, and cross-cloud best practices.

Qualifications

• You've taken infrastructure from zero to one and built a platform that others rely on.
• You write real software (Go, Python, or similar).
• You're deep in GCP and/or AWS — compute, IAM, VPC, networking, storage, load balancing.
• You've run Kubernetes in production (GKE/EKS) and know IaC tooling.
• You can debug low-level problems without hand-holding and fix root causes.

Responsibilities

• Multi-region, multi-cloud Kubernetes across US GCP, EU GCP, and AWS GovCloud with self-serve config.
• Develop a genuinely self-serve internal PaaS used by 60+ engineers.
• Build agent-native infrastructure with secure sandboxes and self-healing platform.
• Implement zero-trust secrets with Vault and rotate short-lived credentials.
• Drive reliability with SLOs, observability, and cross-region DR with sub-hour RTO.
• Treat Postgres on Kubernetes as a first-class platform concern with migrations and replication.
