Job summary

Trase seeks a Senior or Staff DevOps Engineer to design and operate the platform infrastructure behind Trase OS across hosted, customer-controlled, and hybrid environments. You will implement secure, repeatable deployment patterns across AWS, Azure, GCP, private-cloud, hybrid-cloud, and on-prem systems.

Qualifications

• Must have 10+ years of software/platform/infrastructure/DevOps engineering experience with production ownership.
• Deep hands-on experience with Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, and production cluster operations.
• Strong experience with Helm and infrastructure as code (Terraform or Pulumi).
• Hands-on infra experience across two of AWS, Azure, GCP with core compute, networking, storage, IAM, and managed services.
• Experience deploying software across customer-controlled, private-cloud, hybrid, or on-prem environments.
• Strong understanding of networking, DNS, ingress, load balancing, certificates, secrets management, storage, and security.
• Experience building CI/CD or GitOps with production releases, upgrades, and rollbacks, with monitoring and SLOs.
• Strong software engineering and automation in Python, Go, TypeScript, or similar.
• Experience designing secure, portable production infra and replacing cloud-specific services when needed.
• Experience converting cloud-native SaaS to customer-hosted deployments.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and operate secure infrastructure across multi-cloud and on-prem environments.
• Containerize and package services using Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and Kustomize.
• Create reusable IaC modules and deployment workflows with Terraform, Pulumi.
• Design deployment patterns for restricted networks, data residency, and cloud ownership.
• Identify and abstract cloud dependencies to improve portability across deployments.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across apps, clusters, networks, and infra.
• Build and maintain CI/CD/GitOps, releases, upgrades, and rollbacks with observability.
• Develop observability for metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and alerts.
