Orb in San Francisco is seeking a senior infrastructure engineer to maintain a high bar for reliability. You’ll own the infrastructure powering our product—from event ingestion to APIs, alerting, invoicing, and more.

This hybrid SF role offers collaboration across teams and mentorship as you scale systems for a fast-growing platform. You’ll work with a strong cross-functional group to ensure resilient, observable, and high-performance infrastructure that supports customer growth.

Qualifications

• 9+ years in software engineering with infrastructure experience
• Strong debugging and performance troubleshooting skills
• Mentor engineers on best practices (observability, rollout strategies, risk mitigation)

Responsibilities

• Lead infrastructure resiliency efforts (recovery, tenant isolation, load spike handling)
• Improve observability and operability of systems
• Build performance-critical, user-facing infrastructure (real-time processing)
• Plan scaling initiatives to handle large customer growth
• Partner with other engineering teams to ensure reliable features
• Learn from and share knowledge with peers
