Job summary

ShipBob is seeking a Staff Industrial Engineer – Supply Chain Operations. You will shape future supply chain flows, develop product moves, and drive waste elimination across warehouses with lean and Six Sigma expertise.

You’ll lead cross-functional projects, train teams, and improve on-floor processes, while reporting to the IE, Supply Chain Operations. You’ll contribute to cost savings, create CAD/process diagrams, and establish SOPs, all while aligning with ShipBob’s fast-paced,

Qualifications

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of professional Industrial Engineering experience.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Experience launching process automation to optimize efficiency.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced knowledge of production machinery, processes, and standards.
• Six Sigma Black Belt; lean continuous improvement preferred.
• Experienced in project management.
• Knowledge of Supply Chain processes and procedures.
• Basic 2D/3D CAD software skills.
• Up to 50% travel required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate current supply chain practices and identify improvements.
• Enforce quality control to reduce waste.
• Improve efficiency of fulfillment and transportation processes.
• Assess tasks and responsibilities to boost productivity.
• Develop project estimates, financial proposals, and manage initiatives.
• Lead corrective and preventive action teams from quality issues.
• Provide on-floor technical support and guide process teams.
• Develop CAD drawings, process flow charts, cost savings analyses.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams on new processes and equipment.
• Deliver variation reductions using Process Control methods.
• Document Standard Operating Procedures for new/modified processes.
• Track operational metrics and data for projects.
• Follow safety, environmental, and quality policies.
