ShipBob is seeking a Staff Industrial Engineer – Supply Chain Operations to steer future supply chain flows across our facilities and develop product flows that optimize merchant experience and efficiency.

The role offers autonomy on the floor, supports process improvements, and requires lean/six sigma expertise. Travel up to 50% is expected; base salary and bonuses are part of the package.

Qualifications

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of professional Industrial Engineering experience.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Experience launching process automation to optimize efficiency.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Advanced knowledge of production machinery, processes, and standards.
• Six Sigma Black Belt and lean/continuous improvement knowledge preferred.
• Experience in project management.
• Knowledge of supply chain processes and procedures.
• Basic 2D/3D CAD software skills.
• Up to 50% travel required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate current supply chain practices and identify improvements.
• Enforce quality control to reduce waste.
• Improve efficiency of fulfillment and transportation processes.
• Evaluate tasks and responsibilities to improve productivity.
• Develop project estimates, financial proposals, and manage projects.
• Lead corrective and preventive action teams from quality issues and CI initiatives.
• Provide hands-on technical support on the shop floor and on process-improvement teams.
• Develop CAD drawings, process flow charts, and cost-saving analyses.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams on new processes and equipment planning.
• Deliver variation reductions using Process Control methodology.
• Define and document Standard Operating Procedures for new/modified processes.
• Identify and remove barriers to achieve project goals.
• Manage data collection and tracking for projects.
• Establish and track key operational metrics.
• Follow Environmental, Quality, and Safety policies and regulations.
• Additional duties as necessary.
