Job summary

Yuno is hiring a Staff Incident Manager to own the major incident lifecycle end to end. You’ll lead incident command, align cross‑functional teams, and drive learning from every outage to improve future responses.

You will set standards for detection, response, and communications, and shepherd the operating model for incident management across engineering pods. Remote-friendly, fast-paced fintech infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Proven experience running major incident response in production environments
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems and cloud-native operations
• Experience maturing incident management practices (severity frameworks, runbooks, on-call programs)
• Fluency with observability and incident tooling (metrics, logging, tracing, alerting); Datadog preferred; familiarity with paging/tools
• Track record in postmortems that change behavior and drive engineering work
• Excellent written and verbal communication under pressure
• Calm, decisive judgment during high-pressure events; on-call readiness
• English language proficiency (advanced)

Responsibilities

• Act as incident commander on major incidents, coordinating detection to resolution
• Drive down MTTR and improve uptime metrics
• Run on-call rotations, escalation policies, and paging hygiene
• Own incident communications with stakeholders and merchant-facing updates
• Lead blameless postmortems with concrete, accountable action items
• Translate incident patterns into reliability roadmap items with engineering teams
• Define and maintain incident severity levels and response runbooks
• Report incident trends and reliability posture to engineering leadership
