Job summary

Yuno is hiring a Staff Incident Manager to own the major incident lifecycle end to end. You will lead incident command, drive fast and reliable responses, and improve processes for future incidents in a remote, fast-paced environment.

You will set the standard for detection, response, and learning, owning on-call rotations and postmortems. This role requires strong communication and on-call availability across time zones.

Qualifications

• Proven experience running major incident response in production.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems and cloud-native ops.
• Experience maturing incident management practices from scratch.
• Fluency with observability tools and incident tooling.
• Track record of effective postmortems and action closure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication under pressure.
• Willingness to on-call during off-hours.
• English advanced proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Act as incident commander on major incidents with cross-team coordination.
• Drive detection, engagement, and resolution timelines; manage trade-offs.
• Own on-call rotations, escalation policies, and paging hygiene.
• Coordinate merchant-facing updates with Support and account teams.
• Run blameless postmortems and ensure concrete actions.
• Translate incident learnings into reliability roadmap items.
• Define severity levels and operating model for incidents.
• Report incident trends and SLA/SLO performance to leadership.
