Job summary

Verdantas is seeking a groundwater specialist to join our environmental team in Kentucky, combining fieldwork with office analysis. You will conduct sampling, oversee drilling, analyze hydrogeologic data, and prepare technical reports and maps for diverse projects.

The role requires 3–5 years of relevant experience, travel up to 50%, and a valid driver's license, with a mix of office and outdoor work in a dynamic, people-focused culture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Geology, Environmental Studies, or Environmental Science with a geology focus from an accredited institution
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience. Advanced degree or cooperative education may count toward experience
  • Must be willing to travel a minimum 50% of the time
  • Must have a valid driver's license

Responsibilities

  • Conduct groundwater sampling, aquifer testing, and drilling oversight
  • Analyze hydrogeologic data and prepare technical reports, maps, and figures
  • Support project planning, permitting, and compliance documentation
  • Assist in the development and review of Health and Safety Plans (HASP)
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to support project execution
  • Monitor field activities to ensure data quality and adherence to protocols
  • Communicate findings and updates to project managers and clients
  • Contribute to project close-out documentation and regulatory reporting

What You'll Do:

What You'll Bring:

Salary Range:

$62,000.00 - $70,000.00
