Job summary

Verdantas in Blue Ash, Ohio seeks a Staff Hydrogeologist I to support our environmental consulting and sustainable engineering projects. This role blends field investigations with data analysis to advance groundwater programs.

You will conduct fieldwork, install groundwater monitoring wells, analyze data, prepare detailed reports, and collaborate with engineers and scientists on multidisciplinary projects while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, or related field.
  • 0–3 years of experience.
  • Knowledge of groundwater and soil vapor principles and environmental regulations.
  • Ability to use field equipment and interpret basic hydrogeologic data.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel to field sites.

Verdantas is seeking a Staff Hydrogeologist I for our Blue Ash, Ohio, office.

What You’ll Do
  • Conduct field investigations to collect environmental samples, oversee drilling operations, install groundwater monitoring wells, and collect groundwater-related data; oversee soil vapor investigations
  • Analyze basic hydrogeological data using various techniques
  • Prepare detailed reports and maps to present findings and recommendations
  • Monitor groundwater levels and quality, and assess the impact of human activities on groundwater resources
  • Collaborate with engineers, environmental scientists, and other professionals on multidisciplinary projects
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and industry standards
  • Provide technical support for groundwater remediation and water resource management projects
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, or related field
  • 0-3 years of experience
  • Knowledge of groundwater and soil vapor principles and environmental regulations
  • Ability to use field equipment and interpret basic hydrogeologic data
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting and collaboration
  • Generally work in both office and field settings
  • May require frequent travel to various field sites
  • May involve exposure to varying weather conditions and rough terrain
  • May involve occasional lifting of equipment and materials
Salary Range

The starting salary for this position is $55,000, with final compensation determined based on qualifications and licensing status.
