Job summary

Verdantas LLC seeks a field survey assistant to collect data on land features and topography, operating total stations, GPS units, and levels. You will help set up instruments, record data accurately, and assist in preparing maps and drawings for project reports.

The role requires a High School diploma with 0–3 years of field experience, willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions, and a valid driver’s license. Competitive benefits accompany the position.

What You'll Do

• Conduct field surveys to collect data on land features, boundaries, and topography
• Operate and maintain survey equipment such as total stations, GPS units, and levels
• Assist in the setup and calibration of survey instruments
• Record and document survey data accurately and efficiently
• Assist in the preparation of survey reports, maps, and drawings
• Ensure compliance with survey standards and project specifications
• Communicate findings and observations to the Survey Crew Chief/Lead Surveyor
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures during fieldwork
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Survey Crew Chief/Lead Surveyor

What You Bring

• High School diploma required, with AS or BS degree preferred. 0- 3 years of experience Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Ability to lift and carry equipment and materials up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work in remote locations and potentially rugged terrain. Valid drivers license with ability to drive.

Salary Range: Compensation: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Actual compensation will be based on factors including experience, skills, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity.
