Job summary

Verdantas is hiring for a field-oriented role in Kentucky, focusing on environmental consulting and soils/ groundwater investigations. You will support fieldwork, data collection, and report drafting as part of a team handling diverse environmental and civil projects.

The position emphasizes field readiness, travel up to 90%, and a strong emphasis on safety and documentation. A bachelor’s degree in geology or related fields is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 0-2 years of relevant field experience.
  • Ability to conduct fieldwork with some heavy lifting.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with field investigations including soil and rock sampling, drilling oversight, and groundwater monitoring.
  • Collect and interpret geologic and environmental data through field observations, measurements, and testing.
  • Prepare logs, maps, and figures to support technical reports.
  • Perform data analysis and assist in drafting reports, proposals, and recommendations.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols in field and lab settings.
  • Support senior staff in evaluating geologic hazards and site conditions.
  • Maintain accurate field records and documentation.

What You'll Do

What You'll Bring

  • Proficient with MS Office suite of products
  • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training a plus
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must be able to travel 90% of the time
Salary Range

The minimum salary for this position is $65,000 per year. Compensation is determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
