Job summary

Tarana Wireless Inc. is seeking a Staff Hardware QA & Diagnostics Engineer to own end-to-end hardware failure analysis, root-cause investigations, and corrective actions. You will develop automation and data workflows to scale diagnostics across a growing fleet.

You'll mentor engineers, define validation strategies for new hardware, and collaborate across Hardware, Firmware, Software, Manufacturing, and Customer Support to drive evidence-based decisions.

Qualifications

• Required: 9+ years in hardware QA, failure analysis, or embedded systems.
• Bachelor’s in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• Proven ownership of complex hardware investigations from symptom to corrective action.
• Strong Python and/or Bash automation and diagnostic tooling.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end failure-analysis investigations from field evidence to disposition.
• Define and improve diagnostic methods, test plans, and data collection standards.
• Develop production-quality Python/Bash automation for bench testing and log analysis.
• Mentor engineers and drive cross-functional technical projects to closure.
• Partner with HW, FW, SW, Manufacturing, and Support teams to resolve issues.
