Job summary

Enphase Energy, Inc. is seeking a Staff Hardware Engineer in our Austin, TX office to own sensor selection and safety compliance for MW/MWh-scale inverter and BESS systems.

You will work with power electronics, thermal, and mechanical teams to deliver production-ready sensor and enclosure designs that meet UL/IEC safety and reliability targets. The role emphasizes hands-on electronics design for power supplies, sensors, and interconnects, with opportunities to mentor engineers and drive cost

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in electrical engineering with relevant industry experience.
• Experience integrating sensor solutions in commercial/industrial products.
• Strong ability to perform worst-case analysis and DFMEA/AFMEA.
• Hands-on PCB layout and EMI mitigation knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design power supplies and sensor circuits for BESS products.
• Develop sensor solutions for liquid cooling, chillers, heat exchangers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet safety and cost targets.
• Define requirements, test plans, and proofs of concept for platforms.
