Job summary

Enphase Energy, Inc. in Austin, TX is seeking a Senior/Staff Product DVT Engineer to verify and test inverter firmware, gateway, and cloud functions.

You will build automated test systems, validate interfaces, and collaborate across hardware and software teams to ensure safety, reliability, and compliance with global standards. The role emphasizes Python-based test automation, lab instrumentation, and on-site work at the Austin office, with opportunities for growth and leadership in testing

Qualifications

BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, and/or Computer Science.
5+ years of experience in embedded firmware test/DVT/QA engineering and 8+ years for staff role.
Strong Python programming for test automation and control of test equipment.
Experience with Ethernet/I2C/SPI/UART and protocol analyzers.
Embedded firmware design, implementation, test, deployment, and maintenance experience.
Experience with 60V HV DC and 277/480V three-phase AC voltages is a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop test strategies and plans for inverter firmware, gateway, and cloud functions.
Create and execute test strategies to ensure safety and worldwide standards compliance.
Design and implement automated test systems in Python and Ruby for CI.
Validate firmware interfaces and protocols using analyzers.
Collaborate with hardware/firmware teams to enable unit-level testing.
Coordinate with QA, Dev, and PM on project planning and testing.
