Job summary

Enphase Energy seeks a Staff Hardware Engineer to own sensor selection and safety compliance for MW/MWh-scale inverter and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). You will collaborate across mechanical, embedded firmware, and electrical teams to ensure safety, reliability, and cost targets while delivering production-ready designs.

You will lead sensor circuit design for cooling, high-voltage interconnections, and platform-level architectures, mentoring junior engineers and guiding PCB layout and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with relevant experience.
• Experience designing sensor solutions for industrial/utility systems.
• Knowledge of safety standards (UL1741, IEC 62109) and power electronics.
• Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Design power supplies and related logic for Battery systems.
• Develop sensor solutions for utility-scale systems and cooling equipment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet safety, performance and cost targets.
• Define engineering requirements and create test plans with proofs of concept.
