Enphase Energy, Inc. seeks a Senior to Staff Product DVT Test Engineer for BESS. You will verify inverter firmware, gateway, and cloud communications, driving test strategies and automation to ensure safety and grid compliance.

On-site in Austin, TX, you’ll collaborate across hardware and software teams to deliver robust energy solutions. The role emphasizes automated testing, protocol validation, and hands-on lab work with modern test equipment.

Qualifications

BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Computer Science.
5+ years in embedded firmware test/DVT/QA; 8+ years for staff.
Strong Python for test automation and equipment control; Linux bindings.
Experience with Ethernet/I2C/SPI/UART/ power line carrier communications.

Responsibilities

Develop test strategies and plans for inverter firmware, gateway, and cloud functions.
Develop and execute tests to ensure firmware safety and worldwide standards.
Design automated test systems in Python and Ruby for CI.
Validate firmware interfaces and protocols using analyzers.
Collaborate with hardware/firmware teams to enable unit-level testing.
Coordinate with QA/Dev/PM on project planning and testing scope.
Utilize lab equipment to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
