Job summary

Vanta is seeking a Staff Software Engineer in the Growth group to translate customer and business goals into working product and platform capabilities. You will own technical direction for major initiatives, shape architecture, and lead multi-team work from framing through launch and adoption.

You will collaborate with Product, Design, Customer Success, Sales, and other engineers to align customer needs with solid technical solutions, driving impact across onboarding, trials, and value delivery.

Qualifications

• Staff-level technical leadership with impact across multiple teams.
• Experience building customer-facing SaaS products, especially growth, onboarding, activation, or self-service journeys.
• Ability to use customer insight and product analytics to drive outcomes.
• Mentor engineers and guide scope, architecture, and tradeoffs.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and evolve reliable customer-facing software and shared platform capabilities (TypeScript, React, Node.js).
• Lead multi-team initiatives from roadmap to delivery and adoption.
• Partner with Product, Design, Customer Success and Sales to connect customer needs to technical solutions.
• Clarify decisions and dependencies across teams and communicate the approach for reuse.
