Job summary

Fireworks AI in the United States is seeking a creative, high-agency product engineer to join its new PLG growth team. You will build the growth platform supporting onboarding, APIs, pricing, and lifecycle messaging to convert developers from first visit to long-term customers.

You will diagnose customer problems, prototype solutions, and run experiments to discover what works, collaborating with product, design, marketing, data, and sales to ensure a seamless self-serve and sales-assisted

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and shipping user-facing products, including real time on product or growth surfaces as a senior, staff, or founding engineer.
• Track record of moving business metrics with measurable results.
• Strong full-stack skills: TypeScript/React front-end, backend APIs, data models, and SQL.
• Product engineer mindset: define the problem and the solution, not just the implementation.
• Designer’s eye for interaction details, copy, and how a flow feels; make a technical product feel simple.
• Hands-on experience with A/B testing, funnel analysis, and product analytics.
• Genuine high agency; started initiatives, pushed them through, owned the result.

Responsibilities

• Own developer outcomes end to end: identify problems, shape solutions, prototype, ship to production, instrument, and learn from results.
• Build growth foundations: event tracking, funnels, experimentation framework, lifecycle messaging.
• Design and run experiments with clear hypotheses, metrics, and readouts; ship obvious wins when appropriate.
• Talk to developers directly to observe first-call failures and translate into working code.
• Craft polished, fast, accessible experiences on marketing site and product.
• Analyze funnel and cohort data to identify next bets and communicate findings clearly.
• Collaborate with product, design, marketing, data, and sales to align self-serve growth with sales-led motion.
• Use AI coding tools to move quickly while maintaining code quality.
