Edwards Lifesciences in Irvine, CA, is seeking a Staff Software Engineer (Applications), Full Stack, to set the web app architecture across frontend, BFF, and platform APIs. You will drive modernization at scale, contribute server-side code, and partner with Platform/DevOps on cloud deployments.

The role requires a deep React/Angular background and a track record of delivering large-scale frontend/API improvements, with strong SSDLC and CI/CD discipline.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field plus 8 years, or Master's degree plus 6 years.
• Fluency in React and Angular; experience with Platform API and gateway consumption (REST and GraphQL); at least one server-side language.
• Track record of setting technical standards adopted across multiple teams.
• Experience leading a large-scale frontend or API modernization (Angular to React, BFF to Platform APIs).
• Experience designing and operating cloud-deployed applications at scale (containers, CI/CD, IaC).
• Ability to embed quality and traceability into a secure SDLC with CI/CD and automated testing.

Responsabilidades

• Set web application architecture across front end and Platform APIs, including design system implementation and API contracts.
• Drive modernization: migrate Angular to React and BFF to Platform APIs; retire BFF layer; decide monorepo strategy.
• Design API/gateway partnerships; contribute server-side code to unblock client work; integrate EMR/EHR systems.
• Define cloud deployment patterns (containers, CI/CD, IaC) with Platform/DevOps; build reference pipelines.
• Coordinate with Mobile track on shared API contracts and design system parity.
• Set engineering standards for code quality, accessibility, performance, API design, and testing.
• Shape design control outputs and traceability across teams with Software Systems involvement.
• Mentor engineers and raise hiring bar to multiply team output.
