Job summary

Edwards Lifesciences is seeking a Staff Software Engineer (Applications), Full Stack, based in Irvine, CA. You will set web application architecture across the front end, the BFF, and supporting services, and drive modernization at scale while building reference implementations.

You will lead migrations from Angular to React and from BFF to Platform APIs, design cloud-native patterns, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver safe, scalable software for patient care.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in web application architecture, or 6+ years with a master’s.
• Experience leading a large-scale frontend or API modernization (e.g., Angular to React, BFF to Platform APIs).
• Cloud-deployed applications at scale with containers, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code.

Responsibilities

• Set web application architecture across the front end, BFF, and supporting services.
• Drive Angular to React and BFF to Platform APIs migrations.
• Design integrations with EMR/EHR systems and platform APIs; collaborate on API design.
• Mentor engineers and define patterns and tooling for multiple teams.
