Edwards Lifesciences is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Applications), Full Stack, to own the web product area's architecture, define API contracts, and ensure production health. Based in Irvine, CA, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver patient-focused software with secure SDLC practices.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field plus four years of experience; or Master’s degree plus three years of experience.
• Proficiency in React or Angular with TypeScript, with one or more of Node.js, Python, Java, Go, or Rust.
• Experience designing application architecture and API contracts, including state management, data fetching, and integration with internal and third-party systems.
• Experience deploying and operating applications on a cloud platform (AWS or GCP), including CI/CD and containers.
• Experience owning the performance, reliability, and production health of end-user-facing software.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with distributed teams across time zones and secure software development lifecycle.

Responsabilidades

• Design and own the application architecture for a web product area, including state management and data fetching.
• Define and document API contracts; implement client-side and server-side authentication/authorization flows.
• Own customer-facing performance and reliability metrics and drive fixes.
• Design and deploy web applications on AWS or GCP using containers, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code.
• Build patterns and shared components; drive frontend modernization from Angular to React and BFF to Platform APIs.
• Produce architecture documents and verification tests; ensure traceability within IEC 62304.
• Serve as on-call lead for web surfaces; perform root-cause analysis on production issues affecting clinicians and patients.
• Mentor P1 and P2 engineers, review designs and code, and participate in hiring.
