Job summary

Axon is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for its Real-Time Operations team in Boston, with hybrid work and in-person collaboration Tue–Fri onsite. You will own client architecture, frontend foundations, and cross-region experiences at scale, shaping how teams build fast, reliable real-time applications.

The role requires a first-principles mindset, 10+ years of software leadership, and deep frontend expertise with TypeScript, Angular and/or React.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong frontend expertise with TypeScript and modern frameworks (Angular/React).
• Experience designing frontend architecture at scale and with modular packaging.

Responsibilities

• Define the client architecture strategy for RTO and ship experiences at scale.
• Shape configurability to support multiple markets on a shared foundation.
• Lead frontend architecture, libraries, and build/delivery systems.
• Ensure reliability, performance, observability, and security for real-time experiences.
• Mentor senior engineers and grow technical leaders across teams.
