Axon is hiring a Staff Full Stack Software Engineer for our Boston office with a hybrid schedule. You will lead architecture reviews, mentor engineers, and collaborate across Product, Design, and Engineering to tackle scalability and availability challenges in our Records Management system.

The role requires 8+ years of full-stack experience, strong backend in Go/Java/Scala, frontend with JavaScript/TypeScript/React, and solid SQL and cloud design skills.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of full-stack software engineering experience.
• Experience building complex and impactful software in a team environment.
• Experience designing and delivering high-availability, scalable cloud-based systems.
• You write beautiful, simple, maintainable code for backend microservices.
• Deep skill in driving technical solutions across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering architecture design reviews.
• Set a high technical bar for the team through code and architecture design reviews.
• Mentoring engineers.
• Working across teams with Product, Design, and Engineering to solve technical challenges for our customers.
• Improve our Engineering process, including long-term thinking, sprint planning and stand-ups.
• Building services that adhere to our high bar on availability and latency in this mission-critical space.
• Working with the latest open source technologies.
