Job summary
Axon seeks a Staff Software Engineer for Real Time Operations in Seattle to design, build, and scale real-time crime-center software that ingests data from devices and streams it to emergency responders. You will lead cloud, web, and mobile components and work with device teams to source geo-located feeds, ensuring fast, reliable decision support.

Qualifications
- 8+ years of professional software development experience.
- Proven track record designing large-scale cloud systems.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with stream processing (message brokers).
- Nice to have React/Redux/TypeScript frontend experience.
- Nice to have native mobile apps (iOS/Android).
- Nice to have Maps/Cartography experience.
- Mentored and grown other senior engineers.
- Customer empathy and collaboration with product/design.
Responsibilities
- Be the technical leader of device state/notifications, partner integration and mobile apps teams.
- Lead designs of major software components, systems and features.
- Review architecture designs and emphasize availability, performance, and usability.
- Set high technical standards and lead code/technical design reviews.
- Assess top engineering risks and steer strategic initiatives.
- Mentor and coach senior engineers to grow technical leaders.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering to deliver the roadmap.
- Deliver experiences that improve safety and efficiency for users worldwide.
