Job summary

Workstream Technologies, Inc. is seeking a talented Software Engineer (Full Stack) to join our growing engineering team in a hybrid role between home and 1–2 days in-office in Lehi, Utah.

You will design, build, and scale full-stack features with a strong emphasis on reliability and performance. You will collaborate with product managers and engineers to deliver well-scoped features, advocate for TDD, and contribute to a Cloud-first architecture leveraging AWS and modern databases.

Qualifications

• 8 to 12+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Ruby on Rails, Python, Java, PHP, or JavaScript for full-stack development.
• Strong foundation in programming principles and design patterns.
• Experience building scalable systems and test-driven CI/CD with a commitment to quality software development.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, such as PostgreSQL or MongoDB, understand when to use each.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS.
• Demonstrated experience designing distributed systems with a holistic perspective.
• Keeps up with the latest technological trends and continuously improve productivity.

Responsibilities

• Build and deliver well-scoped features in collaboration with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and peers.
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders across teams.
• Advocate for and practice test-driven development (TDD) to ensure high-quality, reliable software.
• Contribute to design and implementation of scalable, distributed systems.
• Work with cloud technologies (AWS) and modern front-end frameworks.
