Workstream is a mission‑driven company delivering an all‑in‑one HR, payroll, and hiring platform for the hourly workforce. We seek a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our growing team, focusing on scalable, high‑performance applications and cloud native design.

You will collaborate with Product, Engineering, and cross‑functional teams, emphasizing TDD, quality, and robust delivery. This hybrid role involves some in‑office work to support close collaboration and alignment with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Ruby on Rails, Python, Java, PHP, or JavaScript for full‑stack development.
• Strong foundation in programming principles and design patterns.
• Experience building scalable systems and test‑driven CI/CD.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL or MongoDB).
• Familiarity with AWS and cloud platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to design distributed systems with a holistic view.
• Keep up with latest tech trends and improve productivity.

Responsibilities

• Be a senior contributor in full‑stack application development.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering Managers, and peers to scope features.
• Communicate effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Advocate for test‑driven development to ensure high quality software.
• Write clean, maintainable code and contribute to architecture decisions.
