Job summary

Aurora is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join the Aurora Services team. You will architect and drive scalable full-stack web services that power real-time data and fleet operations, while providing technical leadership across multiple teams.

You will mentor engineers, shape roadmaps with autonomy, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps practices (AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD). You will translate operational metrics into actionable insights and help build a high-performance, safety-first engineering

Qualifications

8+ years of industry experience in software development.
Designing, building, and operating large-scale full-stack systems.
Deep expertise in front-end and back-end development, scalable web services, distributed systems, and API design.
Proven leadership: drive technical strategy, mentor senior engineers.
Excellent communication and collaboration, cross-functional partner.
Cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices (AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD, monitoring).

Responsibilities

Architect and drive strategic initiatives to build scalable full-stack web services powering real-time data flows.
Provide technical leadership and influence best practices across multiple teams.
Develop and deploy robust, well-engineered solutions using modern frontend frameworks and backend services.
Mentor and grow senior engineers, raising technical standards.
Partner with autonomy, cloud infrastructure, and operations leaders to define roadmaps.
Translate operational data and autonomy metrics into actionable insights for efficiency and product improvement.
