Midi Health is seeking a Staff Software Engineer, Full Stack, operating in a hybrid model with in-office days in Palo Alto or San Francisco. The role requires 10+ years shaping large-scale systems, deep Django/DRF and React/Next.js production experience, and the ability to drive technical roadmaps across multiple teams.

You will mentor engineers, shape engineering culture, and collaborate with executives to translate business goals into technical outcomes, balancing speed with healthcare-grade

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience building and scaling complex engineering solutions.
• Production experience in Django/DRF and React/Next.js or similar technologies.
• Ability to translate product and growth goals into technical roadmaps.
• Background building consumer-facing products and complex operational/workflow systems.
• Experience with AI tooling and prompting strategies to accelerate development.
• Fosters a respectful, low-ego team environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex technical problems and lead architectural reviews across multiple teams to prevent technical debt.
• Act as a part-time product manager for technology to upgrade infrastructure and enable velocity.
• Craft scalable and flexible products and code balancing speed and durability.
• Shape engineering culture with best practices for automated testing, CI/CD, and high-quality code.
• Architect elegant solutions for long-term scalability and business growth.
• Collaborate with executives, product, marketing, and clinical stakeholders to translate business goals into technical strategies delivering outcomes.
• Mentor senior and junior engineers to foster curiosity and technical excellence.
