Job summary

Coinbase is hiring a Staff Software Engineer for the Finance Engineering Platform. You will own the frontend direction for systems turning trading, payments, and transfers into accurate financial records, enabling faster, safer operations for Finance teams.

You will lead high-impact frontend work, partner with Finance users on product roadmaps, and mentor engineers to raise the team's technical bar. This is a remote-first role with quarterly in-person surges.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience shipping production web apps with React and TypeScript.
• Leadership of cross-functional projects from definition to rollout.
• Frontend architecture expertise including state management, API integration and performance.

Responsibilities

• Own frontend strategy and architecture for reconciliation and ops products.
• Design auditable human-in-the-loop workflows with validation and review history.
• Define end-to-end contracts with backend/API teams.
• Establish frontend quality practices: testing, accessibility, performance, observability.
