Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with modern front-end frameworks (React, React Native) and mobile environments.
• Proven track record optimizing complex UI systems for performance and low-latency experiences.
• Experience leading technical strategy, architecture decisions, and cross-team alignment for multi-quarter initiatives.
• Demonstrated success mentoring senior engineers and elevating engineering standards and delivery velocity.
• Familiarity with high-availability, low-latency trading platforms or real-time data applications preferred.
• Uses generative AI responsibly with human oversight to improve workflow efficiency and quality.

Responsibilities

• Own the front-end technical roadmap for Coinbase Advanced, defining architecture decisions for web and mobile.
• Drive performance improvements across rendering, network efficiency, and state management for low-latency trading.
• Lead multi-quarter technical initiatives end-to-end with high standards for code quality and system design.
• Mentor senior engineers and raise technical decision-making within the subteam.
• Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to translate priorities into actionable plans and features.
• Shape front-end engineering practices and patterns to scale with a growing team.
