Job summary

Coinbase Staff Software Engineer, Finance Engineering Platform, will own the frontend technical direction for reconciliation and operations, transforming data into accurate financial records with React and TypeScript.

You will partner with Finance and Accounting users to turn operational pain points into a clear product and technical roadmap, mentoring engineers and elevating frontend quality across testing, accessibility and performance.

Qualifications

8+ years of software engineering experience with production web apps using React and TypeScript.
Proven track record leading ambiguous, cross-functional projects from problem definition through design, rollout and iteration.
Deep frontend architecture expertise including state management, API integration, performance, accessibility, testing and observability.
Experience with data-rich financial/enterprise products where accuracy and trust are essential.

Responsibilities

Own the frontend strategy and architecture for reconciliation and operations products (React/TypeScript).
Lead auditable workflows covering validation, approvals, error handling, permissions and history.
Define end-to-end contracts with backend/API teams for reliable data capabilities.
Establish frontend best practices for testing, accessibility, performance, observability and safe rollout.
Drive high-impact initiatives and align engineering, product, design and Finance stakeholders.
Mentor engineers and raise the team's technical bar while translating pain points into a roadmap.
