Job summary

Opiniion is a SaaS AI-first company in Lehi, UT, seeking a Staff Engineer, Frontend to lead architecture and deliver polished, high-trust user experiences. You will mentor engineers, set frontend standards, and guide patterns as we scale the platform with AI-powered capabilities.

You will collaborate with the Staff Software Architect and cross-functional teams to ensure fast, accessible, and resilient frontend systems across current and next-gen platforms.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of frontend software development experience at senior staff or principal level
• Deep expertise in React and TypeScript in production SaaS apps
• Strong component architecture, design systems, and scalable UI patterns
• Proven track record shipping performant, accessible web experiences
• Experience integrating backend APIs and real-time/streaming data in UI
• Mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction without formal people management
• Strong testing strategies for frontend (unit/integration/e2e)
• Experience introducing or supporting AI/LLM-powered product experiences in production
• Clear written and verbal communication with cross-functional partners
• Ownership-oriented approach in fast-moving environments

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day frontend architecture governance within the broader technical direction
• Write high-quality production-grade frontend code as an individual contributor
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and design feedback
• Define and reinforce frontend standards for architecture, state management, performance, testing, accessibility
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering to turn requirements into polished UX
• Balance work on current platform with next-gen frontend development
• Design and ship AI-capable frontend experiences
• Identify and resolve frontend performance, accessibility, and reliability issues
• Contribute to design reviews and technical planning to align with architecture
• Shape best practices for deployment, observability, and release quality
• Use AI tools to improve speed and quality while maintaining UX bar
