Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Staff Software Engineer, Frontend for the Advanced Trading team. You will own the front-end strategy for Coinbase Advanced, delivering a low-latency experience across web and mobile and shaping the engineering roadmap.

You will mentor senior engineers, drive architecture decisions, and collaborate with Product leadership to translate business goals into impactful technical plans. This role emphasizes performance, reliability, and scalable frontend practices.

Qualifications

8+ years of software engineering with front-end focus.
Deep expertise in modern front-end frameworks (React/React Native).
Experience shaping technical strategy and multi-quarter initiatives.
Mentor senior engineers and drive engineering standards.
Familiarity with high-availability, low-latency trading platforms.
Uses generative AI with human oversight for efficient workflows.

Responsibilities

Own the front-end roadmap for Coinbase Advanced across web and mobile.
Drive performance improvements in rendering, networking, and state management.
Lead complex initiatives end-to-end with high engineering rigor.
