Job summary

GitLab is seeking a Staff Forward Deployed Engineer to bridge GitLab and Duo Agent Platform deployments in strategic accounts. You will partner with account teams, product, and engineering to accelerate adoption, deliver architecture-driven solutions, and turn customer challenges into reusable assets and references.

Role emphasizes hands-on engineering, architectural judgment, and scalable patterns across security, CI/CD, and governance.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of software engineering or related field experience.
• Strong fundamentals in software engineering and system design.
• Experience architecting enterprise-scale systems balancing security and adoption.
• Hands-on with GitLab CI/CD, pipelines, YAML, runners, and APIs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct deep technical discovery in strategic accounts to assess platform readiness and adoption opportunities.
• Lead architecture and delivery design for complex enterprise environments involving DAP and platform migrations.
• Build reusable assets: reference architectures, tooling, and deployment patterns for broader reuse.
• Prototype and harden DAP workflows using custom agents, flows, APIs, and CI/CD automation.
