Job summary

Snowflake, a leader in cloud data platform, seeks a Staff Forward Deployed Engineer, Applied AI, to own end-to-end enterprise AI programs. You will lead 2-4 engineers, set technical direction, mentor the team, and serve as the senior technical voice at the intersection of product, engineering, and customer success.

This customer-facing role requires frequent travel within the USA and collaboration with strategic customers to deliver high-impact AI solutions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience in a customer-facing technical role.
• Willingness to travel.
• Experience leading technical projects or teams, including setting direction and delivery.
• Productionizing applications using LLMs, especially with RAG workflows.
• Defining quality metrics and evaluation frameworks for AI systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end enterprise AI engagements across multiple engineers.
• Set technical direction for customer engagements and mentor the team.
• Deliver high-quality ML pipelines and agentic AI solutions.
• Own deployment, monitoring, and optimization in production environments.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to shape Snowflake's AI platform.
