Ladders is seeking a Staff Software Engineer - Fintech to join our client in the Information Technology space. This remote US role leads the technical direction of a complex financial system supporting subscription and usage-based commerce.

You will mentor engineers, partner with product teams to improve revenue lifecycle accuracy, and design resilient financial systems with strong governance and data integrity.

Qualifications

5–7 years of software engineering experience in fintech.
Hands-on with PIM, CPQ, or O2C processes.
Experience building and operating subscription/usage-based financial systems.
Strong understanding of financial controls and compliance requirements.
Experience with AI tools to enhance engineering productivity.

Responsibilities

Own and operate a complex fintech system and shape its technical strategy.
Improve revenue lifecycle execution and financial correctness.
Develop commerce capabilities for subscription models in collaboration with product teams.
Make strategic decisions on system features through collaboration.
Mentor engineers to strengthen judgment and technical skills.
Design systems for financial correctness and data integrity.
Instrument systems for reliability and data accuracy.
