Ladders is seeking a Manager, Business Enterprise Systems to guide the development and support of core business systems enabling cross-functional operations and data-driven decision making. You'll partner with business leaders to translate needs into scalable technical solutions.

The role blends hands-on engineering with people leadership in a fast-growing fintech, with remote work for US-based candidates only. Compensation is $110,000–$130,000 annually.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of application development experience, with at least 2 years in a management role.
• Proficiency in Java, TypeScript, Ruby, or Python, with recent production system experience.
• Experience coaching team members through assessments and reviews.
• Track record guiding teams through technical delivery processes.
• Experience managing integration and data flows across third-party platforms.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools for cloud automation (e.g., Terraform).
• Demonstrated ability to build effective stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain trusted relationships with business leaders across functions.
• Translate operational challenges into technical requirements through in-depth questioning.
• Actively contribute to development by writing and reviewing production code.
• Establish and uphold technical standards for design and architecture.
• Coach and develop the team with clear expectations and feedback.
• Oversee the delivery of team commitments across multiple functions.
• Ensure disciplined release management for business-critical systems.
