Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Annapolis, MD is seeking a Staff Engineering Design to design major components and assemblies, with a focus on Model Based Definition (MBD) in NX and Teamcenter in the Design Services group.

The ideal candidate will have extensive 3D CAD modeling experience, strong ASME-compliant drawing release skills, and the ability to collaborate across large organizations while delivering high-quality engineering data and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant STEM field with extensive CAD experience.
• Experience releasing engineering models and drawings per ASME standards.
• Familiarity with Teamcenter and PLM tools for configuration management.

Responsibilities

• Designs major components or portions of a system to improve products.
• Develops layouts, sketches, and notes for design proposals.
• Assesses manufacturability, materials, cost, and performance factors.
• Coordinates with other teams during design development.
• Creates layouts for complex assemblies and critical parts.
• Identifies design issues and suggests revisions to engineers.
